Palisades Opera’s mission is to bring professional and outstanding classical vocal music to Rockland, Westchester, Connecticut and Bergen communities. 

We feature local, professional caliber singers from Rockland, Bergen, Westchester & Fairfield Counties and vicinity.

We typically perform an operatic concert of vocal masterpieces from the operatic literature and a staged opera each year.

Of particular interest to Palisades Opera is forming connections in the communtiy. We frequently make donations to local charities. In addition, we enjoy including youth orchestras and choirs in our productions so that our high school  students have the first hand experience of being involved in an operatic production which deeply exposes them to opera.

We provide our audience with the opportunity to see and hear high caliber productions at affordable prices and at a very convenient location. 

Although we sing in the original languages that  each opera was composed, we do provide  narrations or dialog in English throughout our productions so that the audience is never lost. A synopsis of the entire story is also provided. 

Palisades Opera was founded by soprano Ronni Sarrett Lederman, who is a resident of Danbury, CT, and a former resident of Rockland and Bergen Counties.
